For many artists, including me, dreams can have a powerful and direct influence on the work we create.

This is the first in what I hope will be a series exploring people of Native descent in both contemporary and traditional settings.

In this painting, I tried to bring out the bold, rich colors of these horses along with their fire, energy, and personalities.

The idea for this piece came to me as I awoke from a dream. It was just there, in my mind's eye, finished.
