About this oil:
One of my fondest memories of my college years was spending a few weeks in Cody, Wyoming every summer on a friend's ranch. Several of us would saddle the horses and set out into the mountains for a day in the saddle, much like the riders in this painting.
I wanted to capture the feeling of those blue sky summer days spent on horseback and exploring the countryside.
