Thank you to my new collector who has added this piece to their mountain home.
In this painting, I wanted to depict a rather common bird, a Raven, in a new and fresh way for me. Ravens are stereotypically painted black but in reality these birds are full of a rainbow of hues due to iridescence in their feathers. So my goal with this piece was to avoid using black and instead highlight the multitude of colors seen in the bird's plumage when it's highlighted by sunlight.
