About this oil:
If trees could speak, the one on the right might be saying to its neighbor, "go ahead, lean on me." Like many landscape artists, I love painting trees but it's not always easy to capture their unique personalities, shapes, and colors.
 
One of my goals with this piece was to experiment with different ways of making these two trees a little more interesting than what they looked like in real life. I ended up deciding to push the color a bit, and change up their shapes and edges to give them a bit more variety.
 
Frame displayed is a sample frame only. I use frames from Catalina Frames in Tucson, Montgomery Frames in Mesa, or similar.
